Morning Cup of Joe – August 25, 2011

Be the Captain of your Ship and the Master of your Soul.

Far too often we make the critical mistake of leaving things up to chance. I want you to imagine a world where everyone hoped stuff happens but did nothing to make sure they happened. A world where a majority of people spend time waiting on someone else to make the move that’s going to help them inch closer to a better life. The reality of it all is that there are people who fit this description among us today. There are many who unjustly rely upon another entity to improve their lives. Take control.

If you want what others won’t have tomorrow, you must be willing to do what others won’t do today. It really is that simple. You cannot realistically expect the outcome to be favorable especially if you have done absolutely nothing to influence it. Stop leaving things up to luck. Luck is simply preparation meeting opportunity. You must be prepared at all times clearly because you do not know when nor where the next opportunity will come from. It is not only important that you be a key stakeholder in the execution of your dreams but you be an active participant as well.

You have got to work while others are sleeping. You have got to be the first one in the office and the last one to leave, especially if you are NOT the CEO. In order to yield a similar set of results, one must simply duplicate the steps that were previously established. Simply put, you can be successful by mimicking or duplicating similar steps taken by a successful person. Find an accomplished person that fits your unique definition of success and begin your transformation.

You are the only one who can determine whether your dreams will become a reality.

To The Top!
