Three More Times!
We live in a world where people are absolutely satisfied with quitting. For some, quitting is all too often an option and usually a means to an end. Some people would rather wave the white flag than battle it to the end. Imagine if some of the great battles of old ended a little differently. Imagine a United States of America that didn’t win any wars. It should be equally as hard to imagine someone not living to their full potential but it isn’t. We actually don’t need to imagine it at all because sadly they are all around us.
Most small businesses fail within the first three years of launching. Why do you think that is? I would venture to say that it has a lot to do with stick-to-itiveness. Most business owners who don’t make it to year four simply give up. During the first three years you would be extremely lucky if you break even. The profits don’t start coming in until about year five. Obviously there are some exceptions but typically these are your standard outcomes. It is my belief that your efforts determine your outcomes. The harder you work at something, the sooner and more favorable your response will be.
When I lived in Los Angeles it seemed like a requirement to have a personal trainer. My regimen included two-a-days; I would work out at 6am and 6pm. My personal trainer and I met for the evening sessions. I remember our bench press sessions in particular because he wouldn’t let me quit. In fact, as soon as I couldn’t take anymore, he would scream out “3 more times! Let’s Go, 3 More!”. I’m reminded of this every time I think about giving up; just 3 more times. Do not give up at the first sign of adversity. If you believe in something, work as hard as you can to attain it!
Quitting is not an option for you and neither is failure.
