Morning Cup of Joe – Please Stand Up

Don’t be one of those people who simply take up space. Those people who go about their day without a care in the world as if they are the last ones alive. The same people who witness injustice and think to themselves “That’s sad” but aren’t brave enough to stand up and fight for what’s right. Don’t be the person who doesn’t believe in themselves nor serves their community. Our planet is filled with people who simply don’t care. Apathy is the root of all inequality.

Dr. Martin Luther King once said “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything”. Simply put, if you don’t get behind a cause, any righteous cause, then you will be first in line when they are selling “wolf tickets”. You will be the first one to buy-in and the last one to question it. Do not become oblivious to your surroundings. In this world, the sooner you realize that we are all connected, the more compassion we can show for our fellow man. There truly is more to life than reality television shows.

Each day presents another opportunity to change the world yet so many stand idly by waiting for someone else to take the lead. What they fail to realize is that we are all in this together. If you have a voice, speak up! You are the one we have all been waiting for. Don’t wait for someone else to engineer the change you seek. There are enough people who don’t care, we need more who do. You don’t have be the victim to be victimized. Our world needs more servant leaders and compassionate people who will stand up against inequality and injustice. Are you that somebody?

Don’t just get mad; get mad enough to do something about it!

To The Top!
Joe Paul
