Morning Cup of Joe – It Takes Time

We live in a day and age where everyone expects everything the moment they request it. These days we are not willing to wait too long for anything; we need it and we need it now! A vast majority of our meals are on the-go, microwaved or conveniently handed through the windows of our vehicles. This particular way of thinking and behaving is damaging to the natural ebb and flow of destined blessings. This microwave mentality spoils you into thinking that everything should come just as easily.

Anything worth having not only takes time; it takes discipline and hard work. If it comes fast, it will leave just as fast if not faster. I remember the first car I purchased with my hard earned money. I took care of that car as if it were a new born baby. I washed it at least twice a day and sometimes in the rain. Like most things in life, I cherished the car because I know exactly what it took to get it. With hard work and dedication, I was able to see and enjoy the fruits of my labor. I am going to venture to say that I would have treated the car completely differently had it been a gift or a hand-me-down. While there are some cases where certain exceptions exist, I have witnessed countless real-life examples where this holds true.

Everyone wants to be rich but nobody wants to work for it. You must be willing to give it your very best each and every time. The fact that some blessings take longer than others should not prevent you from working twice as hard for the one that is on its way. Stop expecting miracles and start creating them. Get out of the mindset that you will get something for nothing, it does not work. When we slow down our efforts, we slow down the progress towards the realization of our dreams.

Everything cannot be as easy as 1-2-3; you won’t appreciate it as much. We appreciate most that which we work hard to obtain.

To The Top!
