Morning Cup of Joe – The Visionary

Where do you see yourself five short years from now? Three years, a year, a few months from now? While it isn’t too late if you do not have one; it is imperative that you have a clear answer to these questions. Where you see yourself in the future is critical to the work you do in the present. If you do not have a clear vision for your tomorrows, your todays will suffer because of it. Simply, the goals of tomorrow cannot be accomplished if we do not maintain a clear image of what that tomorrow looks like.

You are the architect and engineer of your dreams. Just like an architect, you must have a blueprint of the structure you are building prior to building it. Could you put up a structure without blueprints? Sure you can. But will that structure crumble and be unstable because it doesn’t have a strong foundation? Most likely, Yes. The strong foundation is the blueprint. Your goal is to create a blueprint for your life. How do you envision your future? What does it look like? What will it take to build that dream? You already know the answers to these questions; now write them down and get to work.

A vision is defined as having the ability or an instance of great perception, especially as it relates to future developments. Use your vision to create your blueprint. You already know and have dreamt of what you want your future to look like; it is now time to establish your blueprint. The best way to realize your dreams is by having vision and creating a blueprint of that dream. Have a clear understanding of where you are going and the chances of you getting lost will dramatically reduce.

Remember, it is difficult to hit a bulls-eye without a target.
