Recently, I was having a conversation with a very good friend about the housing market and the chances of a possible rebound. We shared ideas and also our war stories. One of the common themes were the fact that most of the people affected in the mortgage and real estate disaster lost more than they’d initially gained. These were no ordinary losses; homes, vehicles that were your only source of transportation, items you leased and could no longer afford…All gone.
Throughout the entire conversation, there was one thing they said that kept ringing in my ear “If you had it once, you’ll have it again”. If we believe that history repeats itself and what goes around comes around then surely we can believe that what we once had and lost is retrievable. It may take some hard work, some blood, sweat, and tears but you must be willing to do whatever it takes to get what you believe is rightfully yours. Yes, rightfully yours.
For some, it may take a little bit longer but understand that every loss extends an opportunity to learn a lesson. Many of us made decisions in the past that proved to be detrimental. The goal was to learn from your past mistakes because if a similar “issue” ever rears its ugly head, this time you’ll be prepared. Understand that as your eyes read these words blessings are being sent your way; simply meet them half-way with hard work, effort, dignity, integrity, discipline and confidence.
Times may be a little hard but trust that your blessings are on the way! Just like you had it before, you’ll have it again!
To The Top!
