Morning Cup of Joe – A Lesson On Humility

This message is for those of us who have ever been blessed to experience humility before. Not the type of humility as in not showing off or being too ostentatious. I am referring to the type of humility that comes before the blessing. God has an interesting way of redirecting His children in the way that we should go. He will remove people and “things” from our lives in order to get us to understand His amazing grace as well as His incredible power.

I have had the pleasure of experiencing countless examples of humility and realized much later that it was in preparation for what was to come. I was forced to make the realization that you should never think that you did it all by yourself. What I mean is that you must give credit to God who strengthens you and prepares you for opportunities where you can excel. There were times when I didn’t and He helped me quickly realize who else was in the ring fighting alongside me. He has no problem flexing His muscles to let you know who’s in charge. It is less difficult to simply give God praise.

I was forced to learn a very valuable lesson which I am obligated to pass on to you. Never take the glory away from God and redirect it towards you. He deserves to be recognized for his part in the entire equation; He is the orchestrator. When we neglect to give God the glory for the blessings he has bestowed upon us, He will exercise His power to remove those things from our lives swiftly. I am a living testimony.

God is the reason why you are able to get back up each time; don’t forget that or He’ll gladly remind you.

To The Top!
Joe Paul
