Morning Cup of Joe – Life’s Train

There are certain people who will be there for you forever yet there are much more who will not. Consider this; during your journey through life many people will enter your life for a myriad of reasons and some for a few seasons. The goal is to understand that not everyone will be with you forever. However, there are a few who will. Those are considered your angels on earth.

If we can compare our lives to anything it would have to be a city bus, a subway train or even a San Francisco street car. What you should understand about the aforementioned modes of transportation is what they have in common with your own life. First, each of them has a starting point and an ending point much like your earthly existence. Second, there are passengers who enter from the start and may not exit until it has reached its final destination. We should also consider the fact that there are passengers who enter the locomotive after it has begun its journey and will also exit before it arrives at its terminus. Lastly, consider the fact that they all continue to move towards their final destination regardless; whether the cart is full, completely empty or only has a few passengers they continue to move.
Our lives work in a similar fashion.

Much like your life, there are some people who will be there for you forever and some who will get on when it is convenient and may not ride with you to the end. Pay very close attention to the passengers on your life’s train. Everyone who gets on your life’s train may not be going in the same direction as you yet that matters not because
there will be a few who will. The few who will are the ones that have been there for you through thick and thin. The few who will have seen you at your best and certainly at your worst, yet they still stick by your side. These are the life members of your organization; support them, love them, and let them know how much they mean to you by reciprocating that same support.

I am more fortunate than most to have people in my life who are willing to ride the train with me until I reach my final destination. Likewise, I am a permanent passenger on their train. We support one another, we encourage one another and we give of ourselves freely simply because that is what real friends do. Take the time out to tell the people who matter most in your life how much they truly mean to you. I know the people who are on my train are reading this and I want you all to know that I love you, I cherish you and I will be there for you until we reach our final destination. After all, we are all headed in same direction, the only direction suitable for extraordinary people; the top.

To The Top!
