Ever wonder what your purpose in life was? Of course you have. We have all spent countless hours attempting to answer the age old question, “Why am I here?”. If you already know the answer to that question then that is absolutely incredible. I encourage you to continue on your journey and wish you the very best. If you are like most people, the answer to this question is extremely difficult to answer. I’ve figured out a way to help you get a better understanding of why you are here and I wish to share it with you.
In order to answer “why you are here?”, we must first answer “what are you passionate about?”. Take a moment to think about your answer. It may take more than a moment but it is imperative that you are clear on what you are passionate about. In essence, once you are able to discover your passion, then and only then will you discover your purpose. Your passion is doing what comes naturally, also referred to as your gift. What is it that you do that seems to come easily or naturally? That is the key to finding your purpose.
Finding your purpose is not only restricted to doing what comes naturally, it also deals with love. As far as your natural gift, if you’ve made the discovery, do you love it? Some people are able to naturally run fast but have no desire to be a track star. You must love your passion before it can become your purpose. Finally, you must be able to answer “why and how”. Why do you love this gift that comes naturally and how do you plan on making a positive impact on the world through this gift? Answer these questions and your purpose will be less obscure.
My purpose in life is to improve the lives of others through my writings, teachings and speeches. My passion is writing and speaking; these attributes come naturally. I absolutely love what I do and I do it because it brings so much joy to my heart when I am able to contribute to others success and help them discover their purpose.
When you discover your passion, you’ll discover your purpose.
