Morning Cup of Joe – After the Storm

There are some things you simply can’t prepare for. Much like the unpredictable weather, our lives can be bright and sunny with clear skies one day and torrential downpours of rain the next. How we prepare for the potential storm is essential to our survival. Storms will come, that is inevitable and there is truly nothing we can do about it. What we can control are the steps we take to prepare for these foreseeable storms.

If you know it is going to rain, one typically carries an umbrella. Clearly you don’t discard the umbrella once the rain has passed; you obviously keep the umbrella to help shield you from rain that may come again. Our lives work in such a way that the storms we experience and will inevitably continue to experience will not be unbearable if we prepare for them. Some people aren’t prepared and typically get soaked in life’s rain because they failed to carry their proverbial umbrella.

The umbrella that you must carry with you at all times in order to help protect you from life’s inevitable storms is a faith-based mindset that tomorrow has the potential to see the sun shine again. Much like an umbrella has many parts to help it function, so should your proverbial umbrella. Prayer is another critical piece to your proverbial umbrella. Prayer is the shield that protects us from life’s storms. You must not only pray but believe that God answers prayers. Believe me, God is always listening and He hears His children’s cries. Have faith, pray and believe in the change you desire and it shall be so.

Much like the rain eventually passes, so will the storm you are experiencing in your life. After the rain, the sun always seems to shine a little brighter. After you make it through your storm, you too will shine a little brighter.

To The Top!
