Morning Cup of Joe – Temporary Setbacks

My friend, I want to let you in on a little secret. Trouble truly doesn’t last always. Meaning the trials and tribulations we face are temporary. Although at the time they seem as if they will last a lifetime, they truly don’t. Some problems seem so big it feels like your standing in quicksand waiting to be devoured whole. If that is the case, be sure that your arms are stretched out so that God can reach back and pull you out.

I have been through so much in my life and have faced so much adversity and each time I overcame a challenge I knew that the next one would be that much easier to overcome. The thing about problems is that when we encounter them we tend to panic. We start to think that there is no way around it and that the problem is bigger than any possible solution. That is when you take a step back and realize that this problem looks similar to the last one and if we survived the last one, we can survive this one.

You may be out of work, behind on your bills and obligations, having to cut back because your income isn’t sufficient enough to cover your expenses, going through relationship difficulties, experiencing loss of any kind; I can name a million more problems you may be facing. No matter what it is you are going through trust God to make a way out of no way while you work towards finding solutions. God will meet you half-way. When you reach a fork in the road, pick a side; just don’t stop driving.

One of the toughest things to do is maintaining a positive mental attitude while experiencing so much negativity. Things that are tough aren’t necessarily impossible. Surround yourself around the love and positivity you need to overcome these challenges. Oftentimes we want to be alone and handle our problems by ourselves but that is not the most effective way to handle your situation. Besides, two or more heads working to solve the same problem is way better than one.

Commit to memory that God didn’t take you this far in life to just let you go. Sometimes all you have to do is call on Him and He will definitely answer. Keep the faith and watch as the tides begin to turn. The sun may not be out today but it may come out tomorrow. Don’t lose hope as this too shall pass.

To The Top!
