There are so many of us that have gifts we were born with and sadly enough, these are the same gifts we will expire with never having used them at all. Most of these gifts and talents will be left unused and our maximum potential untapped because of our inability to either recognize them as gifts are our inability to act on our recognition. I once heard that the place with the most incredible minds where dreams never came to life is a cemetery. Don’t die with your dream still inside of you and your gifts still untapped.
One may ask, “How do I know what my gift is?” Well, it’s pretty simple. Your gift is a special talent that is seemingly effortless for you. You may have heard someone say, “Wow, she has a gift.” That thing the person does effortlessly yet would be a bit challenging for others is what they are referring to. Understand that your gifts are rendered useless if you don’t use them, especially if you don’t use them to enrich the lives of others.
The good news is that each and every one of us were born with a special talent, gift or blessing. Even better news is that those gifts and talents, when used, grow and develop into new talents. As you venture into your later years, you will begin to notice new gifts and talents that you had no idea existed when you were younger. Some people recognize their gifts or special talent early and others recognize them a little later. The key once you are fortunate to recognize them is to use them for the good of the world. You might as well use what you’ve got while you’re hear because you can’t take them with you when you’re gone.
When we use our gifts to bless others, we are blessed with more gifts. It is not the gifts and talents that we are blessed with but how we use them that matters.
