Morning Cup of Joe – Fear Factor

So many people waste so much time at the line wondering if their shot is going to go in. The issue comes when you think so much that you neglect to act. If you don’t take the shot, eventually time will run out on the clock and the game may be over. This metaphor is a direct reflection of our lives. Most people have the necessary tools at their disposal to create anything they want yet are afraid or unwilling to simply try or do. Stop worrying about whether you will MAKE or MISS the shot, you’ll never know until you TAKE the shot!

A self-induced scare tactic is when you talk yourself out of a situation simply because you are afraid of the outcome. I read somewhere that FEAR stands for False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear can only control what you allow it to control. The false evidence is what we create in order for it to appear real yet some lack the skill of discernment necessary to determine its validity. Simply, fear nothing. Most of us refrain from acting because we believe what we fear is real when in actuality it is not. We create our own fears and thus are the only ones who can eradicate them.

You are standing at the edge of a cliff yet cannot see the bottom. Do you jump? You never know if you will land on a bed of pillows or a bed of thorns but you will never know until you JUMP! Don’t be afraid to follow your dreams. Do not allow fear to get in the way of accomplishing your goals. Understand what role fear plays in this quest of dream realization and your dreams will be realized much sooner. Fear should merely motivate us to act not distract us from the overall goal of winning.

Remember, the greater the risk the greater the potential reward.

To The Top!
