Morning Cup of Joe – Every Minute, Every Second

Every minute, Every second

Some days I stand tall and proud as I reflect on what I accomplished in just 24 hours. There are also days, when I look at the time and realize 24 hours has passed and I have absolutely nothing to show for it; those days are the hardest. Unfortunately, it seems like I have more days when I feel I could have done more with my twenty-four.

I’ve never been a big list maker but I have found that this is the most effective way to actually stay focused on the task at hand. I’ve never been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) but I sometimes find it hard to focus on one thing at a time so I literally have to force myself to constantly review this list I created to see where I am and evaluate what I’ve accomplished.

If you’re like most people, crossing everything off of your list may never happen. One of the reasons why crossing everything off of your list may never happen is simply because you always add more things to the list. What I have found to be helpful is once I create a list to stick with that list. If I have new things let me to be added then I will create a new list. The end goal is to cross everything off of that list. There’s so much joy in crossing everything off that list. In fact there is joy and crossing one thing off that list.

Making every minute and every second count doesn’t start nor stop with creating a to-do list. it starts with focusing your mind intently on what you intend to accomplish and achieve. It starts with developing a stubborn like dedication and a freakishly disciplined mindset. It starts with a sincere desire of wanting to win. It starts when you say that you will accomplish something and not only do you believe it but you do everything in your power to maximize the time God has given you want to Earth to relentlessly pursue your dreams; that’s what making every second count means.

How many seconds out of the 86,400 seconds we have a day are you wasting doing nothing? And by doing nothing I mean spending less then 2 to 3 hours focusing on and working towards accomplishing your dreams. While you’re sitting down wasting time there someone else working twice as hard just to be better than you, faster than you, richer than you, more healthier than you and the list goes on and on. Don’t be a member of the group who is simply taking up space.

Make every minute count and every second matter.

To The Top!
