Milestone #1 – The 30 Day Mark
I remember playing sports in high school and being overcome by the somber feeling one feels when they look into the stands with the knowledge and awareness that their parents were not there rooting for them. It did not feel good. The crazy thing about it, I played as if they were there. In every case, I had to snap out of it and cheer myself on. Sometimes it worked, and others not so much. What I did learn from that experience was the fact that sometimes you’re going to have to be your biggest cheerleader, and sometimes your only cheerleader.
Before we embarked on this 100 day plan, I made it a point to highlight the fact that this was a shared journey and neither you nor I were in this alone. There is a sense of solace one feels when they are fighting side-by-side with a trusted comrade; you are my trusted comrade and I yours. The fact remains that it is much easier to do something when you have someone by your side, someone to cheer you on, someone who believes in you, then it is to do it by yourself.
Sometimes you’re going to have to root yourself to victory. Sometimes you’re going to have to be your biggest cheerleader. Sometimes you are going to have to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes until you get what you want, even if you’re doing it all alone.
These past 30 days have been arduous, tiring, and filled with tests. The next 30 will not be any different, in fact it may get more challenging as you get closer to your must outcomes. That’s a pattern I’ve recognized over and over in my life; the storm before the calm. Your ultimate goal is and shall remain to finish and finish strong at all cost.
I am going to personally spend the next 30 days focused heavily on reaching the next milestone of Day 60 with a special emphasis on accomplishing every single goal I’ve written down. This is going to take a tremendous amount of sacrifice.
What does that mean? It means that I will not be updating the 100 Day blog until we reach milestones on Days 45, 60, 75, and a countdown to 100 starting at day 95.
We’ve gone 30 Days consistently and we’ve got 70 more to go; you should be proud of that. Always remember that you can’t get to Day 100 if you don’t start at Day 1.
In the meantime, I would love to know how these last 30 days have had an impact in your life. Share the changes you’ve experienced. Send an email to info@JoePaulSpeaks.com
