Morning Cup of Joe – You’ve Got To Fight!

It isn’t over until it’s truly over. Don’t count yourself out before you even get into the battle. Oftentimes, we talk ourselves out of a battle before we even jump in. Citing countless reasons why we shouldn’t do something. In the same vain, you must also consider citing reasons why something may actually work. Everything is dichotomous in nature; meaning there are two ways to look at everything. There certainly are positives if you focus intently on discovering them; consider the positives.

You will never know the outcomes of the battles you don’t fight. If you choose not to fight, you’ve already lost. Understand that nothing in this world comes easily; nothing. The outcome of your battles has already been determined yet that should not prevent you from fighting as hard as you can. The fact that you are still living simply means that you are on the winning end of the battle. It also means that, to date, no problem has claimed your life and thus has made you stronger.

Your primary goal each and every day should be to never quit. Quitting is not nor should it ever be an option for you. First, understand and commit to memory the fact that you were born to win. There is no such thing as an insurmountable battle. No matter how hard it seems and will become at times, you cannot quit. No matter how difficult the battle appears, you cannot quit. Even if it looks like you are going to lose, you cannot quit. Your reward is waiting at the finish-line and you cannot claim any rewards if you don’t finish. Be a finisher.

The only way you’ll know if you can truly win a battle is if you make it to the end. No matter how long and arduous the journey may seem, you must focus on the end result. Do not fear defeat, focus intently on the finish-line and you will win every time.

You can win and you will win; simply because there are no other options for you.

Morning Cup of Joe – Self Improvement

How much time did you spend focused on improving yourself yesterday? How many hours do you typically spend on perfecting your craft daily? The amount of hours you invest into bettering yourself pales in comparison to the benefits you receive as a result of this investment. If you don’t already have one, create a mental picture of where you are supposed to be in life. A mental picture is a snap-shot or a bird’s eye view of your future. Create, maintain and work towards developing the image of your desired future in your mental picture.

What needs the most improvement in your life today? Before we can begin to correct a problem, we must first identify it. Step one is to clearly identify what needs to change in your life. This will not be difficult as we are our worst critics and I am certain that you are thinking of a few things at this very moment. There are things in your life that simply cannot continue to remain the same especially if you want things to be different. Things will change but you must change first. If those things continue to stay the same, they are and will be a detriment to your achievement of ultimate happiness. You deserve happiness.

The change we seek begins with our mind-set or state of mind. Your state of mind must be in the “right place” at all times. The “right place” mindset is simply a mindset that is constantly focused on self-improvement & positivity. Condition your mind to always think of ways to improve yourself. Once these discoveries are made, you must feverishly work to drive the change you seek. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work like osmosis; the changes won’t happen just by thinking about them, you have got to put in work.

We all need improvement in all aspects of our lives. Make this day and every day count by using each day to find ways to better yourself. Today is the tomorrow you talked about yesterday. When tomorrow comes, how much better will you be?

Morning Cup of Joe – The Silver Lining

If only you understood the power you possess to create something of greatness from complete nothingness, your situation would be totally different. If you only knew how much unlimited power your thoughts possess, you would gain a better understanding as to why things are the way they are in your life. Your thoughts dictate what you attract into your life. Yes, your thoughts are that powerful. What continuously consumes your thoughts is what will continue to show up in your life. If you want different outcomes, you must change the input.

The Law of Attraction subscribes to the thought that “like attracts like”. What you think about you will attract back into your life. You have to practice thinking positively at all times if you are going to expect positive results; this is not easy. Just like anything else, if you truly practice at making this a habit, your thought patterns will become consistently positive and your life will improve dramatically. Don’t believe me? Try it and see! You must condition your mind to ALWAYS find the silver lining, even if there are no clouds.

This way of thinking is not without challenge. It is critical that you practice positivity daily. Each time you find yourself thinking negatively, stop yourself, and explore the positive side. There is always a positive side, always. Remember that there is more than one way to look at a situation. Everything is dichotomous in nature. You’ve spent precious time focusing on the negative, why not try the alternative? I have personally made it a habit to accentuate the positive in all things and at all times. I challenge you to do the same!

It’s only impossible if you think it is.

Morning Cup of Joe – Negative vs Positive

There are so many people who truly don’t understand the amount of power and authority they give to their problems. The power they give to their problems is so much greater than the power they give to their blessings. In many cases, the blessings bestowed upon you up to this day are far greater than the problems you’ve experienced yet most will give their problems more authority than their blessings. When you compare the two, I would dare to say that you have had more good things happen in your life than bad. Focus on the good.

While we may be doing many things right, for some, all it takes is one bad thing to interrupt the ebb and flow of the pursuit of perfection. Always ask yourself, “What am I supposed to learn from this experience?” When negative things inevitably happen to us, it is critically important that we spend as little time as possible focused on the problem. Most people allow their problems to seem bigger than they really are. The goal is to redirect your attention and focus to what matters most; self-improvement.

It is imperative that you invest as much time and energy into counting your blessings and as little time as possible on things that you constantly worry about and cannot control. After all, worrying doesn’t change nor solve anything. Worrying about your problem is certainly not going to fix it. Worrying about your problem is not going to change the fact that you still have a problem. The goal should be to not waste precious time worrying when you could be using that same time to find a solution to your problem.

Don’t allow one negative event to overshadow all the positive ones in your life.
